This is my ultimate guilty pleasure movie of all time. I own the DVD and if I ever see it on television, I stop everything to watch it. Its superb and few people know of it or agree with me.

Can I get an Amen?
Amen!
Lots of fond memories associated both w/the movie & the Monkees...
By chance, ever hear of a film called Sir Henry at Rawlinson's End? Its a great one. Nice salad before the entre of HEAD. Or a good apperitif, if thats your bent.
I got a kick out of the Monkees as a band and their TV show, but the movie was both flipping the studios and pop culture the bird while making a somewhat serious but unsuccessful attempt at artistic legitimacy. Great stuff.
Here we come...walkin' down the street...although in your case would it be sailing down the street? It's always nice to find a fellow Monkee-o-phile. I'm one of the "second generation fans"--caught the reruns of the show on TV in the mid-'70s. And when they went out on tour in '86 I actually saw them twice.
I saw HEAD at college...but I'll bet now, 20 years later, that I'd get a lot more of it.
Sir Henry at Rawlinson's End? No, I don't know anything about it...who's in it & what's it about?
