They're still here:

Sadly, however, I think our song parodies are gone forever.

Awwww. My memories of all the X-files stuff that went on is fading. Reading TN1's reviews brought some of it back.

"Elegy" was on last night, and I had it on, but, of course, I couldn't remember any of it. Luckily, TN1 had a review of it up. And it was as funny as I remembered (the reviews, not the show!).

Memmmooorriiieeeees ...

Wink

DC -- gotta give you credit for digging up that link. It's not even hooked into the site anymore (and, sadly, it sports the site design from circa 2000).

How the hell are you guys, anyways?

I ended up going to Google and found the old reviews that way! Sorry Xed out!

Yup. It's listed on Google.

Are the other reviews going to go up at some point, too? (hint hint)

As for Life: Life is going well. I was a Municipal Liaison in LA for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) and finished over 50,000 words on a horror/SF novel in November, even though I missed about five days of writing. I'm still working on it, though. Motivation is hard when I don't have a ton of other people writing with me. But, it IS getting done. Heh.

How is it with you, TN1? You bought a house in the last year or so, didn't you? How's that going?

Amazingly, my wife and I have been in the house for almost *3* years now. We've even experienced the joy of home renovation (we had a bathroom put in). Definitely a learning experience.

Beyond that, I'm teaching and consulting and doing the Fodder thing. My hair is going gray and I wear glasses, but I now get to sit in my own home watching my HDTV, so I'm as happy as a clam Wink

Nothing like Google. Sometimes I'm surprised what floats up....

Life is busy. Learning a new e-learning system in hopes of trying to convince people ya knows what you're doing. We're piloting a new version in January. It's been... interesting. No training. Just mainly just-in-time stuff.

Dealing with noisy neighbour crap. Frowner

Nothing like one's home being a money pit.

Trust, about the grey hair? A little colour. I don't plan to see any til I'm at least 70. Wink

Back when you first started writing "Lost" episode reviews, I wanted to compare/contrast them with your old XF reviews, so I went looking for them. Since they were so hard to find then, I saved the link. Your writing has improved a lot since then, BTW, and considering we all liked it back then, that's pretty good.

How I am? Passed the five year mark in my gig as a federal investigator recently. I took this job, figuring to keep it only until I decided what I really wanted to do. Tempus fugit.

Mrs. DC is now a full time web entrepreneur. Quit her day job to tend full time to her Ebay sales business.

My interests/modes of wasting time haven't changed much. Still waste gobs of time talking politics and sports and my rooting interests in each area haven't changed. I got to celebrate a WS victory this year. I pointed out a blurb in a recent ESPN magazine to my poor Cub-fan wife that the last three WS have been won by the Cards, Red Sox and White Sox. As if it's not bad enough for long-suffering Cubs fans not to win for a century, they have to watch three teams in a row win that just underscore, highlight and italicize that record of futility. Oddly, she did not thank me for sharing that observation.

As for football: DA BEARS!! I will say no more on that subject, because I'm pretty sick of people trying to explain to me why they're not good. Funny thing is that all the arguments in the world don't take even one of their victories away from them.

And just so you can be sure that nothing has changed about me, two nights ago, I met an old friend when I happened to be passing through his town on a field investigation. Where did we meet? At a brew pub, of course, where we whiled away a few hours discussing the merits of their house brews, when we weren't rehashing old times.

What's this I hear about a little one making its way into your home? If true, that's great news!

Inquiring minds and all that.
