Hey all (or all that's left ;-)), I decided to at least say 'hi' rather than settle for a drive by lurking.

Wanted to also congratulate Mac for an apparently very vibrant "Lost" blog and discussion board. Glad to see that one worked out since I was one who was pushing him to do it.

Alas, I'm busy on Wednesday nights now. I tape "Lost" and watch it on the weekend, which means I'm too late to the party to be interested in participating in the discussions. I still love the episode recaps, though. Mac remains brilliant with the acerbic wit.

I see that major life events have descended on several of the old XF group. My own life contains shockingly little of interest to report. I can't decide if I'm in a groove or a rut.

Later.

DC! I was wondering what had become of you! I was hoping you'd drop by because I want to thank you for your help in the early days of the "Lost" forum and the blog. I think it was just you and I talking at first and, as you noted, you were instrumental in getting me off my butt to make it happen.

Glad you're enjoying the recaps, too.

As for life events, let's call it a "groove" Wink

Hi guys! Good to see you DC. Hope your family is well.

Trust- this is a tough time fo year for us to talk to each other. As I write this I am still euphoric over yesterday's happenings. The best part is that I am sharing all this (albeit, over the phone and internet) with my daughter. (she who used to barely tolerate her parents' baseball passion) When she told me that she put her Yankee hat on the TV during the game, I told her she was truly my daughter and that I had raised her well.! Smiler

Actually went out to the movies last night- a rare occurence for us-but wanted to add our numbers to Joss's opening weekend of Serenity. Enjoyed it and the people in the theater seemed to as well. In your face Fox TV!! I am so angry at Fox anyhow because they blacked out theYankee Sox game yesterday and the only way I could get updates was to buy mlb.com live radio coverage!!!

Xed-out- is work better now that your old boss is gone? Mine is-it's amazing what a difference a different principal can make in a school. I walk into the building now with a smile on my face, instead of the tight feeling in my stomach that I used to have. Hope you are experiencing the same.

Happy Autumn to all. We had some nice cooler weather for awhile, but it seems to be getting hotter again.
love, cassandra

All’s well in the DC household this year, Cass, thanks for asking.

Mac, I regret having abruptly disappeared the way I did. A combination of a shift in schedule and the temporary ascendancy of other priorities. I appreciate your compliments, but I did little more than make a suggestion and be myself on the “Lost” board. Sure it was a bit thin at the start, but I had no doubt that your little garden would grow. When I quit participating in the “Lost” forum, there were quite enough lively and dedicated participants that I dare say I was not missed.

I guess I should also congratulate the east coast baseball continent on their success. Good luck to each of you in your quest to lose to my Cardinals in the World Series.

Thought I'd share this here, as only X-Philes would understand the full significance.

I just got audited by the IRS. Entirely my fault, as I transposed some numbers on my return, creating obvious errors for the return checking program to flag. Anyway, after discussing some details with my friendly auditor, I have a final deficiency figure and a payoff date, both of which happen to be the same number: 1013; I owe $1,013 by October 13th.

Life imitates creepy art.

"The Tax is Out There"

Your auditor's last name wasn't Carter, was it?

Hello all ... apologies for being MIA. Dealing with some family health matters and work. Both seem to be calming down gradually.

How is everyone? The recent major world disasters have been exhausting. As a news junkie I have just had to turn it off after a while.

On a happier note - Go Angels! The Yankees were a worthy opponent, now bring on Chicago - and next will be the Cards (hopefully). An All-Red Series Wink

Can't believe summer is over, it went by in a flash. I'm sneaking a little trip to the bay area for the rest of the week, starting a new job gives very little scope for time off.

Trust - Lost is turning out to be what XF could have been (but maybe it's to early yet, but I'm hopefully optimistic). Continuity happening all over the place. WOW!

Good to be back -

argo
(did I say GO Angels!)???
