Hmmmm, never heard of Project StarLink. I also have no idea who would be responsible for the following scientific Project which is making headlines today over on the Drudge Report website: "US set to unleash genetically engineered insect." It's moths though, not bees.

I'm working on Project Starlink, ARGO, but don't tell anyone.
BBF, interesting little article on the genetically-engineered glowing moth. And, also on Drudge we can read about the Italian doctor who plans to clone humans later this year...shades of The Kirks and The Samanthas. I wonder how that doctor would like it if HE were the clone that others had so cavalierly experimented with? Cloning humans, embryo experimentation, etc., it is all part of the same way of thinking, IMO, that puts zero value on the humanness of others. Again, I would ask those who experiment on embryos - what if that was YOU they were experimenting on then maybe tossed out of the petri dish because whatever it was they were looking for wasn't found? IMO it is no different than the experiments of Mengele and others like him...the only difference is that the humans Mengele worked on happened to be a bigger than the ones still in the test tubes or dishes or freezers.

Men who would be God.

Whew. Proclaim your convictions with pride, walker. We'd all been wondering where you stood on THAT hot-button issue

I attended tonight's CC chat - was impressed, actually. He answered two of my writing questions - completely, I might add. No confucious-speak as I've come to expect. Hmmmmmm. Maybe he does read my stuff after all. Or maybe it was an imposter.... [This message has been edited by xedout (edited 03-10-2001).]

What were the questions, x-ed? Sorry I missed the chat. Like I said, buy the Fedex envelope. . . . what do you have to lose?
Maybe crop circles are what happens when a genetically engineered insect pollinates a genetically engineered corn silk. Gulp.
Good, though depressing, insight re Mengele and human cloning, govt. My identical-twin college friends always had good fun with the question, "Do clones have souls?" But it becomes serious, and dark, when we try to play God with souls in the petri dish, as you guys said.

XQQ, I doubt it'll get opened. Legal issues. See the Chris Carter chat topic. You can scroll down to the pink/red questions. But his answer does explain such marvelous eps as Fight Club. What another 2 or 3 days work could have done for it.

* steps from the shadows, morphs to Alien Bounty Hunter form *
BEWARE THE IDES OF MARCH !!! In honor of the Ides of March, I will hereby repost a eulogy. The eulogy below was originally posted on the Delphi FOX Forum, in a thread titled "Mulder Needs a Eulogy."
You'd like a eulogy for our dear, departed Mulder? Very well. * nods solemnly, clears throat, continues *
Friends, humans, conspirators,
Lend me your ears! (Lend me the rest of you too, the tests aboard the mother ship are only temporary and we promise to return you to Earth as soon as we're done.)
I come not to bury Mulder, but to un-Earth him, even though he's definitely been un-Earthed before ... but never mind. All in good time ... * enigmatic grin *
Mulder's quest led him to the truth. An admirable effort, especially since he finally boarded the spacecraft of his own free will, saving me the trouble of having to keep hunting him down. By allowing us to study him, he's advanced the noble cause of science with the truest pioneer spirit. He joined us rather than stay behind and fight the goals of the Colonization Project.
So let us offer a moment of silence on behalf of Fox Mulder. It's the least we can do.
Eulogizing in Plain Sight,
BBF Unobtrusive Files Observer (U.F.O.)
