Two weeks til the Windy City!

This place would just fade away if it weren't for you x-ed! Are you going on a vacation to Chicago or is it for work?
Happy summer to all! I am enjoying not having to set my alarm, although I've had to set it a few times to get up in time to meet the plumber! My first day of summer vacation began with the pipe under my kitchen sink disintegrating!
Has anyone seen Superman Returns? My daughter insisted that my husband and I go see it so that she could talk about it! (she knows how we feel about spoilers)
She is finally learning to drive this summer, so that is taking up some of my time. The rest is spent trying to get rid of stuff. 16 years in this house and I don't think we've ever thrown anything away!
And finally, I have to say.....

I know he doesn't check in here anymore, but I am pretty sure that it's his 30th today, so I had to mention it.

Cassandra, it's both work and vacation. The company is sending me to a conference - one on e-learning. Learn more about e-portfolios and such. Looks to be good so far. The other main computing area where I work is sending a bunch of folks, and I've been 'adopted' by them. It's nice that I get to go - some good professional development. I'm also staying a few extra days. And that will be vacation!

Hope to do some sightseeing and of course, shopping! Haven't been there before and the Canadian dollar is pretty high...
