Not up to too much. Went to Chicago back in July for a conference. Spent a couple days sightseeing and shopping after. Saw Spielberg - he was getting an award at the hotel where I was staying.
Two of my car tires were slashed in early August. Put off me buying a new or newer car - what's the point in wasting a few hundred dollars on new tires.
Thinking of selling my place and moving. Too bad the housing market is bad here now. Everything is way overpriced.
Hi xed - send me your e-mail addy and I'll mail you her name and some pictures. I used to have it, but my old computer broke and I lost my entire address book.
You saw Spielberg? Glamorous, girl - what was he like? As for the car, that's so completely annoying. I always wonder what people get out of doing stuff like that. It befuzzles me.
And Mr Right - seriously, I think the biggest drawback a woman can have is being intelligent. I have a friend, pretty, accomplished, nice, and really smart, just like you, and she hasn't found Mr Right yet either. What does that say about men??
JM, I sent it to you via the private message thingie on this board. I got a new computer and some of my old mail is still on my other one. And I have no idea if what address I have actually works!
Only really got a glimpse of the guy. He seemed short and relatively ordinary. Wore a grey suit. I missed Tom Cruise though. Dang.
To add insult to the car, after it was towed in to the garage, the door fell on its windshield. A comedy of misfortune, so to speak. Got a free windshield out of the deal. I don't know why people do that. It was probably bored kids having nothing to do. The auto club did ask if anyone disliked me. Except for my neighbours, couldn't think of anyone. Can't imagine they'd slash my tires, but..... it usually isn't random. Mine was the only car that was attacked (twice in one day!).
It says some women won't settle.
I've also been under the weather lately. Now that I'm feeling better, maybe I'll go out more. Actually it's getting cold, so....
Hi Xed Out, Yup, I'm still around - but I was waiting for notifications from the forum that new posts had been posted! (and didn't get any, grrrr)
Congratulations, JM115! A new baby - aw, they're so sweet, especially when they're asleep. Little angels...when mine was born, I couldn't put her down, I was so amazed at how small and adorable she was. Plus, my mom hormones were on full-blast, never felt anything like it.
Yep, when you create a post, there's a little orange box on the bottom right of the Post a Reply Box that you can click on to turn the Notifications on. There are three choiced - weekly, monthly digest, and immediate notification.
And for fun, I clicked on my own profile - wow, this site has been around for *at least* 6 years - I signed on after a lot of other people did, but wow. Time flies!
