OK, if the previews are not simply hype, then maybe there's more behind the "You'll see someone you never thought you'd see again" spiel. What if this isn't a reference to Michael but to Libby?

Now, I know Libby's dead, but maybe the Libby we met wasn't really Libby. Didn't she always seem like such a liar and like she had plenty of secrets? So what if the woman we met was actually Libby's twin sister? Unlike some folks, I'm not expecting to find "bad twins" popping up all over the place, but one set of twins wouldn't be unreasonable.

Hey, I know it's a nutty idea. But Watros is in the cast list for tomorrow's episode, and I really would like to be surprised about the person we thought we'd never see again. It sure better not be Michael. (My money is on Michael showing up in episode 8, "Meet Kevin Johnson".)

Speaking of Kevin Johnson, has anyone here seen the film "The Disappearance of Kevin Johnson"? I only know what I read about it today in Wikipedia and IMDB.

Libby's twin showing up as Ben's MOTB would be much more of a "I must sit down" moment than Michael's appearance. Then we could speculate about whether it was really Libby in the mental institution w/Hurley or her twin.

And speaking of Hurley, one of the admittedly minor questions I'd love to have cleared up is about him. How did he get the nickname Hurley? Way back in S1 he commented something about how he was known as Hurley in his world, or tribe, or something like that.

I don't think Libby is the MOTB; I still think that's Michael or Walt. What I think is a possibility is that the real Libby is on the boat but has no connection with Ben. In fact, she probably has a connection with Widmore (assuming it really is Widmore's boat).

If there really is Libby-and-her-twin, I guess that it's fake Libby (the one we've met already) who was in the hospital with Hurley. The Libby-with-a-boat that Desmond met, who I'd guess is the real Libby, seemed on a pretty even keel - no pun intended. Smiler

Didn't he say to someone who asked him about that, "Dude, you don't want to know." I just assumed he had once been bulimic or something. *ugh*

Well, you were certainly right about the Kevin Johnson piece even if the ep where he first showed wasn't 8. Great call on that.

The woman who was wrapped in chains and jumped off the boat - is it just me, or did that look like Libby?

I didn't see a resemblance.

It was definitely Regina, not Libby or a Libby-lookalike. Did anyone see anyone who looked like Libby anywhere in the episode? gnomon said that Cynthia Watros was listed as being part of the cast for this episode.

I think I must have messed up and combined the cast listings for "Ji Yeon" with the cast listings for "Meet Kevin Johnson".

What I really wanted was to be surprised, and I certainly was in this episode - just not in a way I had anticipated. And that's what a surprise is all about. Smiler
