Having watched the latest episode could the drugs administered to various people by the others be anti-radiation drugs. They prevent you getting the "sickness" which now appears to be random time travel resulting in brain overload and spitting blood everywhere.

Awesome episode by the way. Apologies if anybody else has mentioned my little theory.

Hmm, that's very interesting. But why would they only be giving them to Claire?

Just to expand my point a little.

There have been several instances of administering the antidote or vacine.

I believe the following. Pushing the button kept the radiation/electro magnetism in check. Dharma began to realise or knew all along that the natural levels of magnetism were the same as the levels needed to produce the time travel experiment. They put the hatch button solution together to dissipate the energy to the external reaches of the Island. They developed the vaccine to cure radiation/magnetism poisoning as a fail safe against random levels of radiation/magnetism around the Island. Over time the radiation/magnetism will increase and all islanders will begin to phase through time. The sickness will return.

This is what happened to Rouseau's crew, and she humanely put them out of their misery.

The others we merely vaccinating Clare and the baby to be on the safe side.

Desmond got an almighty burst of the radiation/magnetism as the hatch imploded. Hence his future flashes. As he left the island he got another huge dose leading to more phasing in and out of time.

The Black Rock crew learnt to control the effects of phasing over time.

I think in the last episode we got a lot of answers. However......

a) Smoke Monster - still no idea, however I like Capt Nemo's idea of a weapon from the future collected by Hanso.

b) Manifestations of Jack's dad, horse, etc. Still no idea here.

The whispers I think might be displaced consciousness where their bodies have died but the consciousness lives on. They congregate together and follow the survivors and the others waiting for someone to allow them to return to their bodies in the past.

Most points there, fair enough. But I have to say, that I dont believe desmond was having flash FORWARDS. He was living in a loop, over and over, and those were MEMORIES of the PAST, of charlie dieing in different ways, during re-lived lifetimes. Charlie began to catch the 'future bug', only when Desmond gets blasted with radiation and shoots back to 'painting his kitchen' time, where they met whilst Charlie was busking outside. The 'Flashes' happened in different ways,, because that is how Charlie died during one of Desmonds looped lifetimes, and he is suddenly 'remebering' it. The re - living over could either stop, due to the hatch exploding, or as I personally believe, its going to happen more and more, due to the way the current storyline is unfolding. Thus - Possible spin off show. Ie: Prison Break - The Bad Girls Version.
I think if there where a spin off from lost after season 6, it would be good to explore the natrual history of the island, and its original inhabitants. Unless they blast over all of that in one episode. But considering they wasted,
- a day of my life not exploring the island (Still loved it),
- a day of my life pushing a button
(Still loved it),
- and a day of my life completly changing the format of the show
(and stumbling a bit- Nicki & Paulo, but still loved it),
- and now a week of my life
(Still a good, but slow one)getting to a boat,
Then I dont think it would be a stretch to fill a new season with the story of the island itself.
- I make it sound like I hate Lost. I really Dont, I Love it! Im just sayin'.
