Just a quick one which my Lost obsessed friend mentioned.

From the video from Dharma with Marvin Candle or whatever he is called this time, there seemed to be no mention of it being cold in the hatch. They seemed unaware of the tunnel system behind the time device. Only Ben seemed to know about it.

I think this was a bluff, similar to other stations where they have tricked the experimented.

I think the coat being there in the first place proves they knew about the caves behind the device. The video was another control to make sure Dharma drones did not discover the truth. Maybe another way of testing the bigger picture.

I also think Widmore was on the Island before Ben and was an ealier Island protector.

Just like Locke took over from Ben. Ben took over from Widmore after Jacob got tired of Widmore using the Island for commercial gain.

I've been wondering as well, Why did the video stop and then begin re-winding itself, when Locke was trying to watch it? Ben seemed to have a look on his face as if he knew that was going to happen.....
