I was thinking maybe Kate gave Aaron up for adoption, because that is why Claire was heading to LA. Then she went and slept with Jack in an attempt to be the pregnant lady on the flight.
But why is she insistent on Jack not knowing? Might as well just tell him that he was put up for adoption and make him promise not to go looking for him.
they had 36 hours from tHe time the few met with Hawking. No time for adoption.
she either abandoned him under the law, at a police station or hospital...and I don't see her doing that. OR... she gave him to Claire's mom. I'm going with: Left him with Claire's mom.
That's exactly what I was thinking, its what makes the most sense. However, since the ubiquitous lawyer (who's name escapes me at the moment) has some influence and maybe got them on flight 316 without the knowledge of the rest of the six (the five?).
I read on the blog and agreed with the idea that she left Aaron with the mother of Sawyer's daughter. It still bothers me that Kate wont tell Jack about that. What is the big deal? I guess Kate feels like she needs to keep secrets.
The real question is why did she change her mind? That appears to be a back story for a future episode. Perhaps she is pregnant to be Claire's proxy, but Claire was almost 8 months preggo.
I got the idea that Sun might have had something to do with Aaron's absence. When she was on the phone with her daughter, she told her that she had found a new friend for her, and his name as Aaron. She had the 'Evil Sun' smirk at the time. I think maybe Widmore has his hands on Aaron, or will shortly.
I THINK! well we know they're trying to recreate flight 815 as close as possible, what did we have last time round, we had a woman with a baby inside of her
see where I'm going?
KATE must have EATEN little baby AARON so she can represent "The lady with the baby inside of her"
but I think Widmore will eventually get a hold of aaron, and use him somehow to get back to the island as he was born it he must have some kind of connection.

I completely agree, otherwise it made that whole scene pointless when Sun was talking to her daughter on the phone. It was bugging me and now you just made some sense out of it, thanks!
