The Black and White Stones... Hi I actucally missed the episode when they found Adam and Eve and their stones I did watch the Pilot for the first time last night and couldn't help but connect that with Locke sitting the beach playing backgammon. The kid came over and asked him about it and he said the game dated back before Jesus and made some comments about the light versus the dark and very deliberately held up two game pieces for the kids to see, one black and one white.

Wow! The Ameila Earhart theory is kind of cool. I'm trying to remember the clothing that Adam and Eve were wearing and my fuzzy memory remembers the style to be something other than what I would have expected Ameila to have been wearing. Anyone else remember what they were dressed in?

I am watching an old movie on TBS called "Executive Decision". In it, there is a plane that is hijacked by terrorists. The flight is "Oceanic" (I didn;t catch the flight number).
Tell me, is "Oceanic" a generic airline that is always used in TV/Movies (like the "555" phone numbers that are always used)? Or is it possible this is a reference done on purpose (although I can't really see why...)

I've heard it's been used many times in movies and TV. If anyone caught the "Alias" episode that aired right after "Lost" this past week, in the background of the airport you can hear the voice over the PA announcing an 'Oceanic' flight.

"WE are the survivors"
Could this simply mean that there are other survivors from flight 815? I mean, didn't the plane break in half before it crashed?
I remember the older African American lady early on in the season was certain her husband survived.

Wow, hugely interesting discussion going on here.
A thought just struck me about the 'WE'RE the survivors'. I'm sure I'd heard the tagline for Series 2 is "They're not the survivors they think they are."
It's all starting to feel really ominous but maybe they're in some sort of deathmatch style Truman Show and it's some sort of game with spectators. Hmm, sounded much more plausible in my head. lol
If it were (some sort of) a game though, it seems at the moment that it's only Locke who's taking it as one. But is he right to do so? I mean it cost Boone his life but Locke still seems convinced that they don't intend to hurt him. He's likely just one currant short of a bun, though is this emotional ambiguity making him more open to accepting the in-ordinariness of one special island?

I thought that when Boone spoke into the radio, the voice actually corrected him, it sounds like he said NO "We're the survivors of Oceanic 815"

To let everyone know the voice was probly from the back part of the plane surivors think about that the back people might have lived and it is We're

In 'The Other 48 Days' there is confirmation that the person who was talking to Boone was Bernard, one of the survivors from the tail section.
This is one mystery that was solved, thankfully.
