This was a small, yet big step for jack. He admitted that Locke was right and he was wrong. Maybe Locke isn't living in Jack's shadow. And then Jack said that the others were bad people, and Locke said that he completely agreed. Partnership! Coolness!
I wish I could have heard the rest of the conversation between Jack and Locke after Locke realizes the he has to tell Jack that he lied to him about Ana L. "Jack ,,,,,,((Sigh)),,,,,, I've got to tell you something."
Locke took a big step, too. First, it looked like he didn't quite take Henry's bait when Henry said his mission had been to get Locke. Second, although this comes too late, Locke finally tells Jack (offstage) that Henry attacked AL. Looks like these two boys are starting to communicate at last.
